Why learn music theory? Apart from the fact that a pass in ABRSM Grade 5 Theory is a prerequisite for advancing beyond Grade 5 in any particular instrument, learning music theory helps with all aspects of playing your instrument such as playing rhythms accurately, knowing the key of the piece you're playing and so much more. I offer intensive courses on music theory if you are hoping to do a Grade 5 examination soon and I also offer weekly theory lessons at a more relaxed pace. I teach in a very clear, structured and methodical way which I feel facilitates the learning process and helps my students learn efficiently. My theory students have a 100% Distinction rate.
